March News

We had a mighty March in Patrick's 2nd Class!
Here are some of the fun activities that we got up to this month:
1. We started learning a new skill... GAA. Coach Gerry from Round Towers Lusk has been teaching us how to play GAA. We have been learning the rules of the game and building great teamwork skills.
2. We had a lovely assembly this month that we were so lucky to perform a song about love and kindness for our school friends.
3. For Seachtain na Gaeilge we got to visit 'Caifé le Craic', we learned how to order pancóga (pancakes) and a deoch (drink). We ordered using our new Gaeilge vocabulary and then got to enjoy eating them and talking Irish with our class friends.
4. We have had a lot of fun in drama using our imagination to create a lovely garden and then how to protect it and keep it safe... more to come on this!
5. In maths we had fun learning about money the past few weeks. We are now learning about weight. It is very interesting to investigate what items in our class weigh and use the correct units to explain our answers.
