We had a busy start to 2025 in Maeve's 2nd class!
Here are some of the activities that we got up to this month:
1. We explored the topic of Homes in Learn Together. We looked at, discussed and drew pictures of homes from around the world. Then we used recyclable materials to create different types of homes and buildings in art. Thanks so much to everyone who sent in recyclable materials for us to use!
2. We had a lovely assembly with our 5th class buddies! We talked about our value of the month, which was Compassion. Then we chatted to our buddies to find out some new and interesting facts about them!
3. In science we carried out an experiment to explore the friction of different surfaces. We used toy cars, a ramp, a plastic surface and a carpeted surface. Which surface do you think had less/more friction?
4. A big thank you to our Student Council representatives for all of their hard work since 1st class! We voted to elect our new Student Council representatives. Watch this space.......our new representatives will be announced in our website update next month!
