We have had a very busy April in 1st Class!
1. We had Intercultural Art & Creative Day where we learned lots about different countries from others in our class and tried some yummy treats from New Zealand, Slovakia and Romania/ Moldova.
2. The country we were learning about for Intercultural Day was The Netherlands and we created art based on 'Starry Night' (Van Gogh).
3. We have been learning about transport this month, with a big focus on the history of trains and railways. We played with the train set during Aistear and created our own railways!
4. Our beautiful art work for the theme 'April showers bring May flowers' - let's hope we're right!!!
5. The whole school art theme this month was clay so we created some lovely pinch pots.
