A month of fun, creativity and success!

30th Apr 2024

It has been a very busy month for us all in sixth class. Starting off with the Sam Maguire being welcomed into RaLET. Killian McGinnis and Greg McEneaney from Skerries Harps along with our very own coach Gerry proudly showed off the cup and engaged in a very informative Q and A session. It was a lovely coming together of the RaLET community and a lovely way to mark the school coming together in our new hall.

Our school library was also launched on the 12th April with a visit from Aoife from Children’s Books Ireland. We loved having a look around the library and seeing the wonderful new books Children’s Books Ireland have donated to RaLET.

On Thurs April 18th, we celebrated Intercultural Art and Creative Day with a variety of fun activities including a lovely art session with our buddies in Junior Infants!
Our country of focus was Poland and we studied the art form Wycinanki. Our creations were beautifully colourful and creative!

We reached the final stage of our JEP journey this month with our wonderful Mugcakes and Rockys going on sale. We couldn’t have imagined the excitement our products created in the school and we were overwhelmed by the success of them. Thanks to the RaLET community for the wonderful support and a special thank you to our wonderful entrepreneurs who put such a huge amount of work into all aspects of the project.

Finally, Monday was a colourful day in 6th class with the arrival of the 6th class hoodies. The classroom was buzzing with excitement and we think you’ll agree, they look pretty amazing! Thanks in particular to Leslie-Ann for organising and thanks to all our lovely parents and guardians for the gorgeous jumpers we received also. We will wear our RaLET colours with pride!
