To finish Seachtain na Gaeilge, we had our little yard as Gaeilge on the Friday where all the boys and girls had to play games and chat in Irish. After that, everyone gathered in the red playground to listen to the RaLET band. The band was started up this year by Iona and they practise every Monday after school. They played us a few tunes and blew us away with their musical talent. Well done guys!
Ceol le Chéile by Shaun Dunne, 3rd Class
We meet every Monday after school. There are lots of instruments like tin whistle, recorder, ukulele, harp, guitar and bagpipes. We learn lots of songs like Maggie in the Wood and The Dawning of the Day. On Friday we played at the assembly in school before the whole school sang Amhrán na gCupán. We had lots of fun that day.
