We had two very special visitors into the school today. We had Lyndsey Davey from the Dublin Senior Ladies Football Team and the Brendan Martin Cup. As we all know, Dublin beat Mayo in the Senior Football Final in Croke Park in September.
The All-Ireland football final between Dublin and Mayo at Croke Park smashed the record for the highest attended women’s sporting event of 2017. Dublin streaked to victory, 4-11 to 0-11, in an enthralling showdown that was played out in front of 46,286 people.
It was great to welcome Lyndsey to out school and we hope that she and her champion Brendan Martin will come and see us next year as well. Come on you girls in blue!!

Lyndsey also took some time to speak to some classes about what it is like to be part of the Senior Dublin Team.
