Junior Infants – Gráinne

We’ve had a lovely few months in Junior Infants.

In January, we looked at people who help us and played in the Garda Station. It was great fun arresting our teacher. We had a visit from a firefighter also.

In February, we learned about water. Check out our lovely sea creature creations. We had a visit from a lifeguard to tell us about water safety.

In March, we’ve been looking at Spring and the farm. We’re looking forward to playing in the Florist Shop. We designed beautiful water lilies.

What a wonderful first term we’ve had in Junior Infants.

In November we looked at the theme of space. We worked together to design rockets. We also had great fun in the role-play area, blasting off into space on lots of adventures.

In PE we played lots of games. Here is a picture of  us working on our rolling skills with a partner.

In December, we had a junk art station during Aistear. We used our imaginations to plan and design. We made rockets, aliens, cars, binoculars, telescopes and even invented our own games.

We can’t wait for the second term of school.

We’ve had a lovely half-term in Junior Infants. We’ve settled in very well and really enjoy coming to school.

We love Aistear and PE. Here is a picture of some printing that we did during our Aistear Stations.

Our Buddies are from Louise’s 6th class. So far we have met them and they read us a story. If we see them around the school we make sure to say “hello!”

During Harvest, we saw lots of vegetables that had been grown in the school and we got to taste some delicious things.

During STEM week, we had lots of fun building and creating.
