Anne’s 3rd Class

Anne’s 3rd class have been busy doing lots of different science investigations and experiments.

We made some lava lamps and investigated how the oil, water and fizzy tablets mix with each other.

We learned about the properties of solids, liquids and gases and experimented with gloop in solid and liquid form.

We talked about friction and examined how water and soap on our hands reduces friction when we rub them together. Here we are testing water and washing up liquid on our hands.

Before the Christmas break we practised writing instructions. This is called procedural writing. So we wrote out the recipe for making Reindeer Cake Pops. Then we made them and we ate them! Here are some pictures of them. Delicious!!

In History we have learned about the Vikings. Here are some pictures of us presenting our Vikings projects to the class.

We have also been very busy in maths learning our times tables. Here we are learning our 6 times tables!

We’ve been very busy in 3rd class learning all about Spain.  Some fantastic projects were completed on Spanish food, Spanish football and other Spanish facts and figures.  Here are some pictures of the Spanish food which we have sampled over the last few weeks with the chefs!?

We have being doing lots of practical work in our Maths class weighing and measuring different items.

Active Week was fantastic with lots of outdoor activities everyday!  Here we are doing Taekwondo in the hall and Tennis in the yard.
