Trip to the Farm
We visited Pat’s farm to learn about the daily life and work of a farmer in winter. Thank you so much, Pat!
We wrote and performed some sock puppet shows to help teach 1st class about anti-bullying.
The class put a particularly big effort into their oral and written Irish this term, including coming up with some creative writing, news reports and dramas.
It’s been a really busy term packed with everything from Yoga (thank you Lynne!), to Long Division to Poetry Writing. Thanks to everyone for their hard work.
To help celebrate the school’s STEM week we held a science fair in our classroom and invited children from 1st and 3rd to come view some of our brilliant science projects.
We studied 1916 in History and, afterwards, tried retelling the story in comic form.
Each student selected one European country to work on and prepared and presented a project on it.
We had a visit from an American Science Teacher who helped us build toy cars and develop our problem solving skills through play.
