In fourth class, we have been using our knowledge of electrical circuits to get light bulbs and buzzers working. Some of us even managed to complete a circuit with a bulb, buzzer and motor!
We have been investigating properties of 3-D shapes in maths, and in English we invented interesting machines and explained how they worked.
We have had great fun playing hurling with our coach David. Indoors, we have impressed with our acrobatic ability!
In fourth class, we have been very busy practising for Peace Proms! We had a great time in Blanchardstown for our rehearsal. Some boys and girls in our class represented the school very well when we played Ashbourne Educate Together in a recent challenge game. In class, we were busy identifying properties of 2-D shapes, and finding fractions of numbers. During Anti-bullying week, we worked with Deirdre’s 1st class to create ‘Respect’ poems. We loved reading our poems out to both classes!
We had a very creative opening to fourth class! We participated in a team building exercise to build the tallest tower, using only dry spaghetti and marshmallows. We investigated different materials to see what would make the most stable bridge, and we used balloons to make our very own hovercrafts!
